Dear Members,

Agroofood Expo Series 2009 was held from 4 to 7 June 2009 at Jakarta Convention Center. This 4 days exhibition was organized by PT Wahyu Promo Citra and supported by IFCCI. The event was participated by almost 180 exhibitors from local and international companies/institutions.

One of supporting events which was held during the exhibition was business forum " Buyers meet Sellers Night". In this occasion, the organizer invited sellers such as farmers, services on agriculture, plantation, fishery, animal husbandry from all over Indonesia, agricultural commodity traders, and agricultural small and medium enterprises, to meet the buyers (agricultural exportir, supermarket retailer, hospital, hotel, etc.) directly. The products offered for buyers were as follows: 1. Plantation commodities such as: cocoa, coffee, tea, peanut, CPO, etc, 2. Spices: pepper, candlenut, cinnamon, cloves, etc, 3. Herbs: ginger, tumeric, curcuma, etc, 4. Fresh Product: tropical fruits, vegetables, fisheries, etc, 5. Crops: corn, cassava, rice , 6. Cattle Product: fresh & processed products.

From traders to vocational school students visited this exhibition. They could gain all the information about Indonesian food products and at the same time taste the food directly from some of stands.

Indonesia is a huge market for food and beverage products as well as their supporting technologies. The country is also a prospective place for investment in products demanded in both domestic and export market. We hope that next year there will be many more participants and guests joined.
